Nail Primer
Used during nail preparation to help improve adhesion between the natural nail and the gel system.
Air dries naturally and does not require a UV/LED lamp.
Base Coat
Applied after Primer to create the first gel layer of the manicure.
Base Coat must be cured under a suitable UV/LED nail lamp.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Nail Primer do?
Nail Primer helps improve adhesion between the prepared natural nail and the following gel manicure layers. It is commonly used before Base Coat to help create a reliable foundation.
Does Nail Primer need to be cured under a UV/LED lamp?
No. VENALISA Nail Primer is air-dry. Allow it to dry completely before applying Base Coat.
Do I still need Base Coat after using Primer?
Yes. Primer and Base Coat serve different purposes.
Primer helps prepare the nail for improved adhesion, while Base Coat creates the first cured gel layer underneath your gel color.
Which one goes first, Primer or Base Coat?
Apply Primer first.
The recommended order is:
Primer → Base Coat → Gel Color → Top Coat.
How much Primer should I apply?
Use only a small amount and apply a very thin layer. Applying more product does not necessarily improve adhesion.
Can I apply Primer directly over gel polish?
Primer is intended for the prepared natural nail before Base Coat application. It should not normally be applied over cured gel color.
Why is my gel manicure still lifting?
Lifting can be affected by several factors, including incomplete nail preparation, moisture or oil on the nail surface, product touching the cuticle, overly thick layers or incomplete curing of the gel layers.
How should I store Nail Primer?
Keep the bottle tightly closed and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and UV/LED light.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Is Venalisa gel polish TPO free?
A1: Yes, the formula is completely TPO free and HEMA free.
Q2: How long does Venalisa gel nail polish last?
A2: When applied correctly and with proper care, venalisa gel nail polish can last up to 3 weeks without significant chipping or peeling. However, the exact duration may vary depending on factors such as nail health, individual lifestyle, and proper application techniques.
Q3: Tips to avoid gel nail polish from chipping and peeling?
Tips1: Proper nail preparation: Ensure that your nails are properly prepared before applying gel nail polish. This includes shaping, filing, and buffing the nails to remove any rough edges or ridges. A smooth nail surface helps the gel polish adhere better and reduces the risk of chipping.
Tips2: Thin, even coats: Apply thin and even coats of gel nail polish. Thick layers can lead to uneven drying and increase the chances of chipping or peeling. Remember to cure each layer under the UV or LED lamp as directed before applying the next coat.
Tips3: Cap the edges: When applying each layer of gel polish, base coat and top coat, make sure to "cap" the free edge of your nails by swiping the brush horizontally across the tip. This seals the color and creates a protective barrier against chipping.
Q4: Why does the gel nail polish smell a bit smelly?
A4: Gel products may have a characteristic odor due to their formulation. Keep the bottle closed when not in use and use the product in a well-ventilated area.
Q5: Why does nail gel have bubble, grain after curing?
A5: Applying too fast, or repeated use after the bottle mouth is not cleaned up.
Q6: How to avoid shrink gel or wrinkle condition?
A6: The nail surface before manicure should be cleaned. In the process of applying, the gel should not be too thick. When cure with the lamp, do not take out your hand before the gel is completely dry. Otherwise, shrink gel, wrinkle phenomenon will occur.
Q7: How to store nail gel?
A7: Store in a cool place. Keep out of sunlight or extreme exposure under LED or UV light.
